Anna Throne-Holst

Biography

I am committed to community improvement with a proven twenty year record of effectiveness; In my role in the creation of the Hayground School in Southampton, to my role as the Director of the Bridgehampton Day Care Council, to my role as a single, working mother of three teenage sons, I have overcome obstacles, unified diverse interests and crafted thoughtful, caring solutions.

I will bring this same commitment and the same skills to my role as Town Councilwoman.  We are all well aware that there are a host of important issues which challenge our Town government.  Not the least among these issues is Town government’s inability to work cooperatively and effectively within itself and with outside agencies.  In the current climate, community needs are supplanted by special interests and personal political infighting. Petty bickering and fear of reprisal have become the hallmarks of Town government.

My personal values, my professional experience and my day to day life experience combined with my long standing commitment to community service make me ideally suited to change this climate and to help make our Town the best that it can be.  To accomplish these goals, I need you vote and, if elected, I will need your help.
